Building Brands with Lindsay DeLong

Lindsay DeLong earned her first writer’s credit when she was just seven years old. Her father, a physician and author, took note of his daughter’s eagerness to learn and sat young Lindsay on his lap while he wrote a 10-page medical pamphlet on how to stop smoking — instilling in her a love for the written word (and a hatred for smoking... obviously)! When the project was finished, Dr. DeLong listed Lindsay as his co-author and, to this day, the small pamphlet hangs in her office, a reminder of that tender and informative time.

Three decades later, Lindsay is an accomplished writer in her own right. From reporting at international festivals to ghostwriting (actual!) books to sharing her bout with breast cancer through writing and podcasting, her journalistic career has been an entertaining and wild ride — one where she’s learned the importance of not only well written content, but also branding, marketing, and originality. Having spent 10 years in the publishing industry in various editorial roles at startup magazines, Lindsay has built a specialty around formulating brand strategy and implementing systems and processes through web design and social media that will guide your business to certain success. Managing a team of over 200 writers, graphic designers, and photographers has taught her the ins and outs of what works (and what doesn’t) when launching a brand.

Today, Lindsay runs her own marketing firm, Lindsay DeLong Creative, where she utilizes the ménage à trois of skills she’s learned to create a full service web design agency where she focuses on helping women entrepreneurs who are just starting their businesses.
